What's Included in a Regular Commercial Clean?

· F&L Cleaning Solutions

Short answer: A regular commercial clean covers the everyday essentials: emptying bins, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, wiping desks and high-touch surfaces, dusting, and vacuuming and mopping floors. At F&L Cleaning Solutions we do this after hours, weekly or more often, and we bring all our own equipment and products. We'll agree exactly what's covered on a 10-minute walkthrough before we start.

Why it's worth asking "what's included?"

If it isn't clear what you're paying for, things get missed, and it turns into a back-and-forth. Being clear upfront avoids all of that. Here's what a typical regular clean includes with us.

Every visit: the essentials

Kitchens and break rooms

  • Benchtops, sinks and splashbacks wiped and cleaned
  • Outside of kitchen appliances wiped
  • Tables and chairs wiped
  • Bins emptied and liners replaced
  • Floors swept and mopped

Bathrooms and toilets

  • Toilets, basins and urinals cleaned (employers must keep toilets clean under WHS law[1])
  • Mirrors and taps polished
  • Surfaces wiped
  • Floors mopped
  • Bins emptied

Desks and work areas

  • Clear desk surfaces wiped (we don't move your papers around)
  • High-touch points wiped, such as door handles, light switches and handrails
  • Bins emptied

Reception and meeting rooms

  • Reception counters and tables wiped
  • Chairs straightened

Floors

  • Floors vacuumed and mopped

What's different for clinics, dental practices and gyms

  • Medical and allied health clinics: waiting rooms, consult rooms, bathrooms and staff areas cleaned and ready before your first patient. National guidelines describe routine cleaning as detergent and water with physical scrubbing, then rinsing and drying, and recommend cleaning frequently touched surfaces at least daily[2][3]. Your practice's own infection-control policy sets the rules.
  • Dental practices: reception, waiting areas, bathrooms, staff rooms and floors around the surgeries. Clinical sterilisation and instrument reprocessing stay with your team under the ADA's infection control guidelines[4].
  • Gyms and fitness studios: change rooms, bathrooms, reception, floors and the surfaces around equipment, cleaned outside opening hours.

What isn't included

So there are no surprises, here's what we don't do:

  • One-off cleans, such as end-of-lease or construction cleans. We focus on regular ongoing cleaning, weekly or more often.
  • Clinical sterilisation of medical or dental instruments.

Supplies and equipment

We bring our own equipment and cleaning products, so you don't need to buy anything or keep a cupboard stocked for us.

Insurance and trust

We're fully insured and police-checked. A national police check lists disclosable court outcomes and pending charges from all Australian police services[5]. We follow your access and alarm procedures.
