What a regular clean covers
We agree the exact list when we quote. A typical after-hours medical centre clean includes:
Reception and waiting room
Counter, chairs and armrests wiped. Door handles, switches and other touch points wiped. General bins emptied. Floors mopped and vacuumed.
Consult and treatment rooms
General bins emptied, agreed non-clinical surfaces such as desks, handles and sinks wiped, and floors cleaned.
Bathrooms
Toilets, basins and fittings cleaned and floors mopped.
Staff kitchen and offices
Benches and sinks cleaned, and desks and touch points wiped.

Clear lines
What stays with your clinical team
- Instrument reprocessing. Cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable instruments is a clinical task for trained staff.
- Clinical and sharps waste. These stay with your practice's waste procedures and provider. We handle general waste only.
- Between-patient wipes. Treatment couches and clinical equipment between patients are normally wiped by clinicians during the day.
- Spills during the day. Blood or body-fluid spills should be handled promptly by staff under your procedures, not left for the evening clean[3].

Yes. We clean outside your opening hours, once patients and staff have gone, so rooms are ready before the first appointment.
Do you sterilise instruments or take clinical waste?
No. Reprocessing instruments and handling clinical and sharps waste stay with your clinical team and waste provider. We do the general environmental cleaning and general waste.
What gets cleaned?
We agree a set checklist with you when we quote: typically reception and waiting areas, consult and treatment rooms (non-clinical surfaces), bathrooms, and staff kitchens and offices.
